The Minitest FD is the latest addition to the range of surface coating thickness gauges from Elektro‐Physik, 117 King Street, Knutsford, Cheshire WA16 6EH. It is a small, portable instrument weighing only 285 grams (10 oz.) with a liquid crystal type digital display meter indicating coating thickness in steps of one micron up to a maximum of 1,250 microns.
