Techniques for alkyd calculations go hand‐in‐hand with the main principles of the technology— we cannot hope to understand the subject on a qualitative basis; this publication from the Paint Research Association is based on this approach. The various calculation techniques are demonstrated by specific examples; comments are made on the related general principles; practice examples are given so that the reader can gain confidence in handling the calculations.
