At least we can start 1984 with a little good news in that the latest report from the Paintmakers Association is headed: “Paint Industry shows signs of recovery”. Export sales of paint continue to lead the paint industry's recovery. During the third quarter of 1983, states the report, they rose 13.1% over the equivalent period in 1982, the third successive quarterly increase of more than 10%.
