Conveyor‐band drying of pigments saves energy and operating costs

Conveyor‐band drying plants for continuous large‐scale drying of pigments and dye‐stuffs with low energy consumption and low operating costs, have been developed by APV Mitchell Dryers Ltd, Denton Holme, Carlisle CA 5DU. Fig. 1 shows a direct‐gas‐heated band dryer with roller extruder. Fig. 2 shows a steam‐heated band dryer, also handling extruded pigments.
