TranslinkR HF‐900 reinforcement, a new surface‐modified calcined kaoline‐based product from Engelhard Corporation, provides up to a 20 percent increase in flexural modulus in mineral reinforced engineering resins. The increase can be achieved, it is claimed, without the expected loss in impact properties compared with most commercially used mineral reinforcements.
