It is a little surprising to note that inspite of the increasing pressure against the use of solvent based coatings, the market for aqueous emulsions is only forecast to grow 1.6% p.a. in the main European countries in the next few years. This is according to a new market report on Synthetic Polymer Emulsions from IAL Consultants of 14 Buckingham Palace Rd, London SW1, who expect the market in 1991 to reach 1,215,000 tonnes. The market area comprises UK, France, W. Germany, Benelux, Italy, Scandinavia and the small but fast growing Spanish market.
