The place name in the title of Kremlin Spray Painting Equipment Ltd connotes, not the famous building in Moscow's Red Square, but a French village south of Paris. During Napoleon's Russian campaign French soldiers wounded around Moscow were returned home and camped in the village known as Bicetre. Their social meeting‐place quickly became known as the Kremlin and before long the village itself was called Kremlin‐Bicetre.
