Two recent books from Price's Chemicals contain a wealth of information. The first, Publication 101, is on the Transport and Storage of Oleochemicals. It is designed to assist in the handling of palletised and drummed stocks and in the planning and design of plant facilities where bulk storage is envisaged. The three sections are clearly split. Part I is on the transport and storage of bulk liquid, and includes a brief discussion on the relative merits of the viability of bulk storage. The section includes full details of typical installations, with line drawings of suitable tanks and pipelines. Part II is on the bulk and semi‐bulk handling of solid products, and discusses various delivery and container systems. Part III is on the standard types of pack for the various products described throughout the publication.
