A recent report indicates that demand for most extender and filler minerals used in adhesives and sealants, paint, paper, plastics and rubber is expected to recover slowly from the current recession. Demand for these minerals is expected to grow at an average rate of 3.5% up to 1995. However, most of this growth is occuring in the paper market where continued shifts in technology and quality requirements are producing double‐digit growth levels for selected fillers, according to the report by A. Kline & Co.
