The work comprises eight invited review lectures and extensive abstracts of nearly 100 contributed papers presented at the Third Congress of the International Colour Association held at Troy, New York in July 1977. The subject areas in the book deal with all aspects of research on colour in the field of physics and chemistry, psychology and physiology, art and architecture, environmental and industrial design. Colour as directly related to surface coatings and printing inks is well represented.
