The Process Technology Group of the Chemical Society have recently set up a Research Fellowship to investigate the rheological problems encountered by industry when dealing with dispersions; in particular the prediction of their properties from a knowledge of the nature of the continuous and disperse phases, especially the physical chemistry of the particle‐particle interactions.
