IBM's Lautenbach joins PPG Industries board

Directors of PPG Industries have elected Ned C. Lautenbach, senior vice-president and group executive of International Business Machines Corp., to PPG's board effective from 1 November 1997.

Lautenbach has global responsibility for IBM's sales and distribution operations, as well as revenue and profit performance and customer satisfaction.
