SSA-Acclaim wins ERP system order from European Colour Pigments

European Colour Pigments Ltd (ECP), suppliers of dyes, pigments, and colourings to the paint, printing and plastics industries, has selected SSA-Acclaim to provide a millennium compliant enterprise resource planning system at its UK-based headquarters,administration and manufacturing sites, in a contract worth over £170,000.
Based on BPCS Client/Server version 6, running in Mixed Mode on an IBM AS/400 RISC Processor,SSA-Acclaim's solution will ensure ECP's operations are fully millennium-compliant, integrating core functions including manufacturing, stock control, financials, resource planning and administration.
"Millennium issues were becoming critical and we needed to move quickly to century-compliant software,"commented Phillip Myles, financial controller at ECP, "After considering other systems, we decided to upgrade from BPCS version 4 to version 6 based on its ability to integrate our whole business with a solution that preserves our investment in IBM hardware. We selected SSA-Acclaim based on the company's extensive experience of the BPCS environment and following the success of our version 4 implementation in April 1995."
BPCS version 6 will also be installed at sister company, Tor Coatings, supplier of coatings for walls,roofs and floors to industrial and manufacturing organisations, replacing the company's bespoke systems and providing a fully integrated, millennium-compliant solution throughout the whole organisation.
