Ultran announces the availability of a high frequency (100kHz to 5MHz) non-contact ultrasonic analysis system the NCA 1000 designed and manufactured in conjunction with our strategic partner, VN Instruments, Ltd, Canada.
Bench top or on-line, NCA 1000 is stated to be suitable for the analysis of plastics, rubber, fibrous and cellular products, as well as green, sintered, and crystalline materials. Characteristics measured by NCA 1000 are: velocity, density, thickness, defects,time-of-flight, composition, and more.
NCA 1000 unites sophisticated modular hardware and digital signal processing with extremely high transduction transducers. For example in ambient air environment, even at 3MHz frequency, sensitivity is 56dB and SNR, > 36dB. Critical specifications of NCA 1000 are: time-of-flight accuracy, ±1ns; dynamic range, > 140dB;time stability,< 0.2ns; and materials measurement rate, 20/s.
