Minolta has announced the latest addition to its range of colour measuring instruments, the CM-3600d Spectrophotometer. The CM-3600d is said to be highly versatile and user friendly and offer superb performance.
The CM-3600d is equipped with an innovative optical system benefiting users in everyday tasks. The optical system is said to allow simultaneous calculation of gloss, giving instantaneous results for Specular Component Included and Excluded without the need for sample manipulation. The patented Numerical UV Control (NUVC) allows the high speed, accurate and reliable calculation of colour results when the management and proper adjustment of the UV component is needed. On traditional instruments, consecutive measurements had to be taken to obtain readings for SCI, SCE and UV adjustment, whereas they can reportedly all be obtained with just one reading using the CM-3600d giving great time savings. Advanced mathematical calculations are believed to allow superior inter-instrument and inter-model agreement, which is absolutely necessary for inter-department and inter-company data exchange in today's worldwide economy.
The CM-3600d has a full wavelength range from 360-740nm, with 10nm pitch and a large sphere (152mm diameter) with d/8° geometry. All measurement conditions are thought to be possible, SCI, SCE, UV, reflectance, transmittance, translucence, small, medium and large apertures the CM-3600d can measure them all. The CM-3600d is designed for ease of operation in daily use. It is compact, has a bright mirror sample viewer for easy sample positioning, a sample holder for up to A4 size samples with full 90° lockdown, is switchless with full control through a PC, all of which ensure easy operation and contributes to improved working efficiency.
