Baxenden Chemicals has appointed Richard Jones as the research and development manager for the Speciality Chemicals Division (Plate 8).

Richard Jones joined the company from Solvay Interox where he worked as senior chemist for nearly ten years.

Following graduation from Durham University he worked at SmithKline Beecham for three years and later completed a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Nottingham.

Managing a large team of R&D and process development chemists, his role at Baxenden will include new product development, production support and providing technical support to the wide customer base.
