New from Devcon UK is Epoxy Plus, a rubbertoughened structural adhesive/potting compound, specially formulated to provide a final bond that is load bearing and resistant to weathering (Plate 4).
This high viscosity and non-corrosive product is said to be ideal for use on metals, thermoset plastics and structural parts in applications requiring high peel strength and impact resistance.

Epoxy Plus is an easily mixed 1:1 by volume resin/hardener. Large volumes can be dispensed, metered and applied directly to the surfaces to be bonded via an applicator gun fitted with a static mix nozzle.
Working time for the compound is said to be around 25 minutes, tack-free time is some three to five hours and full cure is reached in 24 to 48 hours.

Zip Grip HV1200 is a single-component adhesive designed foremost for bonding plastics but is also said to be an excellent general purpose adhesive.
High viscosity facilitates the bonding of porous substrates and provides some gap-filling properties.
Devcon believes that with a setting time measured in seconds and a full cure time of just 24 hours, the adhesive is ideally suited to applications where fast fixturing in assembly operations is required.
Available in a variety of package sizes, Zip Grip is easily dispensed manually or using automatic equipment.
