Resins and plastics manufacturer BIP Limited, of Oldbury in the West Midlands, has taken further steps to expand its Asian activities with the completion of agreements with companies in Korea and the People's Republic of China.

The highly developed industrial nation of Korea has been opened up for the sale of BIP's coating resins with the completion of an agreement between BIP and the prestigious resin producer, Aekyung Chemical Company Limited.

This strategic alliance in amino resins which covers distribution and technical service provides Aekyung,already a manufacturer of certain butylated resins and associated additives,with the complementary methylated products and high solids butylated products from BIP.

Initial targets for the operation are the well established automotive, can and coil coating businesses. Korea also has requirements for general industrial coating resins and wood lacquers, which are also manufactured by BIP.
