A range of safe and efficient heated drum storage rooms and oven units can now be supplied by Airflow Product Finishing Ltd. These incorporate the well proven designs of its successful process heating ovens, combined with long experience of ducted air technology.
Heated drum facilities can be utilised for a wide range of general industrial, chemical and food related products which may require storage at closely controlled temperatures, or simply pre-heating prior to process applications.
These Airflow units can be supplied to accommodate from 4 to 64 drums of 45 gallon (210 litres) capacity. They are available for operation at low, intermediate and high heat settings,maintaining temperatures up to 30°C, 60°C and 225°C respectively,within ± 5°C (Plate 9).
A range of heating options is available including both high and low pressure hot water, steam, natural, or LPG gas, together with electric or oil fired versions. Temperature monitoring is provided with simple controller and thermocouple as standard. More sophisticated requirements can be accommodated with PID, multistage ramp and PC control. Provision can also be made where the emissions of flammable solvents or excessive fumes and vapours must be considered. Ovens are also available for operation in Zone 1 flameproof environments.

Units can be supplied in sizes from 1.5 metres in height, 1.5 metres in width and 1.5 metres in depth up to 2.9 metres H × 5.5 metres W × 2.8 metres D. Fully weatherproofed designs are available for outdoor service, and full width doors giving unimpaired access are equipped with double shot-bolt locking. Greater versatility is provided with a number of door options including manual and electrically operated rising or roller doors, together with radio controlled remote operation.
All models have a galvanised steel finish with a bolted construction designed for easy on-site assembly. They carry authentic CE marking and a range of accessories can be supplied including racking, forklift buffers, roller floors and spill containment trays.
