Spies Hecker automotive refinishes has announced the arrival of four, exciting new products. These are:

Permahyd EP Wet on Wet Thermo Surfacer 5035 and Permahyd Hardener 3070

These two products complete Spies Hecker's enhanced compliant system for customers using more than 2,000kgs of organic solvents.

The Permahyd EP Wet on Wet Thermo Surfacer 5035 meets OEM specifications and is stated to be fully compliant with both 1998 and 2000 PG6/34 Stage 2 regulations. Being a waterborne product it claims a very low VOC, making it environmentally friendly. Other benefits claimed are that it only requires a simple one visit application and it is quick drying for fast processing times. The product also has excellent gloss hold out which means minimum polishing and ultimate customer satisfaction.

Permasolid HS Topcoat Hardener 3307

This hardener is designed for use with the 270 Series and HS Clearcoat 8030. It claims a very fast baking time of only 12-15 minutes, enabling bodyshops to maximise their oven capacity and so increase throughput.

The product is fully compliant with 1998 and 2000 PG6/34 Stage 2 regulations and has a simple 2:1 mix ratio, reducing the possibility of error and expensive rectification work. It requires no further additives so stock holding is kept to a minimum and a simple one visit application means process times are cut significantly.

Permacron Elastic Clearcoat 8070

Specially developed for Mercedes side panels and bumpers, this product reportedly enables a controlled and consistent satin matt finish to be produced and makes it suitable for any application where a semi-matt finish is required.

It is a simple 2:1 system with no additives and is EPA compliant for all stages as a "Special Product".
