Spies Hecker automotive refinishes recently held an important conference at its headquarters in Cologne. Members of refinishing associations in various EU countries, joumalists from all over Europe and Spies Hecker's partners from many European countries attended the conference where renowned experts reported on current, state-of-the-art developments in environmental laws within the paint sector.
Dr Werner Lenhard, head of Research and Development at Spies Hecker, discussed the need to develop future technologies with a strong emphasis on the practical needs of refinishers. They expect a genuine future technology product to be cost-effective and easy to apply, without requiring any big changes or investment solutions such as High Solids and Spies Hecker's Waterborne System. These new technologies are said to be low-solvent to comply with even the strictest VOC values but also highly user-friendly for problem-free application, material savings and a first-class finish.
