Bayer scoops its third supplier award from Toyota

Keywords: Bayer, Toyota, Awards, Resins

Bayer has received its third “Recognition for delivery performance”award from Toyota in as many years.

At Toyota’s recent Supplier Review, held in Nottingham, recognition was given to Bayers ABS polycarbonate resin, Bayblend, used to produce the carrier for the instrument panel in the Japanese manufacturer’s Avensis and Corolla models.

For David McGinity, Bayer’s key account manager for Toyota, the accolade was further proof of Bayer’s commitment to the industry: “To achieve this hat-trick, we have to thank the Bayblend teams on both sides of the channel for their excellent and ongoing co-operation and commitment”.

“To win an award from a customer is very special for any group”,he adds. The scale of this success can be appreciated more when you realise that only 26 out of the 400 suppliers Toyota uses for its Derby and Deeside works have been recognised.
