With the arrival of the new Mastersizer 2000 laser diffraction based particle size analyzer, Malvern Instruments has extended its QSpec Validation package,and QSpec Version 2 is now available.
For companies operating in highly regulated environments, QSpec Version 2 for the Mastersizer 2000 is thought to provide a comprehensive validation package that allows users to meet the requirements of external regulatory bodies.
It claims to deliver the full traceability that is a growing requirement for total quality management systems, whether or not the individual company is subject to external regulation.
Since its introduction in 1996, QSpec has reportedly been widely adopted and this latest version recognises the need to go beyond simple instrument installation qualification (IQ) and operational qualification (OQ). The Q Spec package for the Mastersizer 2000 gives subscribers a right to view the source code in addition to rights to view the lifecycle documentation available for earlier instruments.
