Brookhaven Instruments offers a submicron particle size distribution analyser, the 90Plus, which is thought to be ideal for product research and development and industrial quality control. Dynamic light scattering, together with a zeta potential option for dispersion stability studies, is said to make the 90Plus an excellent choice for fast, reproducible analyses of submicron particles in virtually any liquid medium.
The analyser is said to be easy to use and gives accurate measurements on particle sizes from 2nm to 3nm. Sample measurements can be automatically repeated, letting you check reproducibility within samples. The Windows software on the 90Plus shows results as graphs and tables. Your valuable data are automatically saved on the hard disk for transfer to other applications and reports.
In addition to the fully detailed size distribution, the versatile 90Plus also reports mean size and polydisper (width of distribution). The availability of two scattering angles, 90 and 15 degrees, facilitates measurement of the widest variety of samples and, with the zeta potential option, enables both size and zeta potential to be measured at the same time.
