Du Pont has announced a two-stage plan to increase by 40 per cent its dodecanedioic acid, (3DA/DDDA), capacity at its Victoria, Texas, USA site. The first stage of the multimillion dollar investment plan calls for a 10 per cent capacity increase by the first quarter of 2000. Plans call for the remaining 30 per cent to be on line in 2002. Total investment for this plan is expected to be approximately US$70 million. "This investment in additional dodecanedioic acid capacity demonstrates our continuing commitment to our customers and the product," said Ed Sullivan, global operations and North America business manager.
