Finishing issues aired at IVT conference

The state of the art in protective coatings for ACE and materials handling applications was the subject of a paper delivered to the IVT Conference in June by the technical manager of Tikkurila Coatings' OEM Industrial Coatings Division, Bob Hams.

In the paper, "European ACE coatings for the twenty-first century" Bob discusses the factors which have influenced product development, and compares past, present and future coatings technologies. He reviews the diverse coatings available in the ACE market across Europe, developed in response to variations in environmental legislation and, as the ACE industry enters the twenty-first century, previews the new technologies and coatings that may become commonplace.
