Malvern Instruments Ltd (Malvern, UK) and the Sysmex Corporation (Kobe,Japan) have concluded an agreement, signed at the recent Pittsburgh Conference,that will extend their reciprocal distribution arrangements. The agreement allows Malvern Instruments exclusive rights to distribute particle size analysers from Sysmex Scientific Instruments Division in North America, Europe and the Middle East.
Under the terms of the existing agreement that has been in place since 1998,Malvern Instruments already distributes the Sysmex CDA-500 particle analyser in seven European countries, and Sysmex is the exclusive distributor in Japan for Malvern's laboratory based particle size analysers.
In 1998 the two companies formed a strategic alliance that encompasses distribution agreements and allows for collaborations and cooperation in the field of particle characterisation.
