As easy as 1,2,3 with the OPTIMA Series

Keywords: Grant Instruments, Temperature control

Simple to use and easy to choose, that is said to be the philosophy behind Grant Instruments' new OPTIMA Series thermostats, tanks and accessories. Control heads – a range of four digital and one analogue are available – can be combined with new stainless steel or high quality plastic tanks to form a bath combo, or can be ordered with a clamp so that just about any container can be turned into a bath. And whatever digital OPTIMA Series system you choose, the novel Navigator rotor and interactive display will reportedly make set-up,calibration and daily use intuitive and straightforward (Plate 5).

According to Grant, you select the temperature range and accuracy you need and then compare the functions of the five controllers – for example, if high accuracy across a range of –50°C to 200°C, built-in pump and powerful computer control is important for you, you will need the GP200. For a temperature range of 0°C to 120°C, flexible presets and comprehensive alarms, choose the GD120. Or combine the simple analogue control over an ambient+5°C to 99°C range of the GA100 with one of the new plastic tanks to give you a robust and cost-effective combination.
