Elementis Specialties has appointed Jan M. Weemink to the position of marketing manager, non-aqueous coatings. Jan will be responsible for Elementis Specialties' marketing of rheological additives, colorants, additives and wax product lines. He will be based in the Ghent, Belgium-Oosterhout, The Netherlands area.

Jan most recently served as a market development manager with Purac America,where he was responsible for the sales growth of lactic acid and derivatives in the cosmetics, ethoxylation, descaling, coatings and ink jet markets. He also held coatings marketing and technical positions with both Zeneca Pigments and Additives and Technical Coatings (Benjamin Moore).

He holds a BSc in chemical engineering, as well as a BA in marketing and economics.
