Germany underlines European trend towards PPAS71 for water pipeline protection

Plascoat reports that Germany has underlined the trend towards the preferred use of its PPA571 thermoplastic coating for the corrosion protection of water pipelines and installations.

Tests carried out by the Hygiene-Institute of the Ruhrgebiet, Gelsenkirchen,are said to have shown that the coating meets the requirements of the regulating office DVGW technical regulations.

According to Plascoat the reconfirmation by the German agency comes within weeks of the electrostatics sprayed version of the coating, PPA571ES, meeting the applicable requirements for UL Classification in accordance with the United States' ANSI/NSF Standard 61.
