Moderate growth in sales and a rise in operating profit Free

In the first nine months of last year, specially chemicals provider Cognis was able to increase its operating profits to 166 million euros, up 2 per cent on the figure for the previous year. The company achieved this moderate rise in operating profit with a 1 per cent growth in sales. Overall, sales in the period from January to September reached 2,407 million euros. This figure includes transactions with the parent group Henkel amounting to 211 million euros.

At 1,282 million euros, over half the sales were generated in the European market, followed by North America at 684 million euros, the Asia-Pacific region at 296 million euros, and activities in Latin America, which accounted for 141 million euros.
