Features said to be available in eRecordManager 2001 Rl include:
Oracle-based Security providing; authentication, auditing, version control and electronic signatures for compliance with the FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 ruling.
Long term Archival – In addition to storing files in their original format, eRecordManager automates the translation of over 150 analytical data file formats into a platform neutral format based on XML. When storing instrument data, eRecordManager makes use of a new public domain XML scheme known as Generalised Analytical Mark Language (GAML). The scheme and additional information on the GAML data format is available for downloading over the web by visiting www.gaml.org
Automated Archiving operation – based on user configurable archive policies.
Use of Metadata – Specific fields can be extracted from the archived data and used for subsequent searching and data mining.
Enhanced Data Searching – utilising folders and dynamic filters, users can segregate their data in multiple ways.
Easy Viewing of Spectral Data – with the use of the GAML explorer, users are able to view data in a way that makes sense to them. Data is organised according to experiments, which can be easily incorporated into laboratory reports.
Integration with other systems – integrated support with the Thermo Galactic suite of desktop spectroscopy software (including GRAMS/Al, to allow advanced reprocessing, visualisation and library searching of spectral data. eRecordManager also incorporates a comprehensive set of interfaces for linking with other systems.
eRecordManager 2001 Rl is validated against OracJe 8.1.7 (8i) and is supported on Windows 2000, Windows NT4 and Windows 98.
eRecordManager is Therrno LabSystem& latest product and represents their arrival in the long-term analytical data archiving and knowledge management environment. Through a novel library of over 150 powerful file converters, the archived information can be viewed on virtually any platform long into the future without using the original instrument software.
