"BTA" dry block heater

Grant Instruments have announced the launch of its new compact bench top"BTA" dry block heater (Plate 6). Its novel circular fixed block is said to be engineered for precision heating and even heat distribution and accommodates a combination of all standard microtubes.

The "BTA" dry block heater claims easy and precise temperature setting and can accommodate up to 49 samples in microtubes, for temperature control over a range from ambient +5 to 100°C. The powerful internal heater reportedly produces a controlled but rapid heating from 25 to 100°C in just 11 min. The dry block is housed in a durable, easy-to-clean and light weight plastic moulding, with a low profile and small footprint.

The "BTA" block heater is available in 220 and 110 V versions. It bears the CE mark and is supported by Grant's comprehensive three- year guarantee. The product is available world-wide through an extensive network of laboratory distributors.
