Ciba Specialty Chemicals links up with Dolder AG to launch chemical trading company, Chem2U

Chem2U offers defined promotions of quality specialty chemicals at spot prices to targeted customers.

Ciba Specialty Chemicals, the leading global supplier of plastic additives and Dolder AG, a leading European seller of chemicals, have announced the set-up of a new trading company, Chem2U Inc.

Chem2U will offer users high quality products at spot prices through individualized promotions. A promotion will be open for a limited time specifying the product offering, the delivery date and related conditions for sales.

“We continue to look for new ways to offer value and think many companies purchasing specialty chemicals will find value in Chem2U,” says Felix Meyer, Head of Ciba Specialty Chemicals' Plastic Additives Segment.“We will use Chem2U for special promotions that are not otherwise available through existing Ciba channels.”

“The Chem2U Web site will facilitate the contact between Chem2U and potential buyers but there will be no EDI link. Once the contact is made to a customer transactions will be completed off line.”
