DSM Desotech opens manufacturing facility in Shanghai
DSM Desotech, a world leader in the development and supply of UV- curable materials, announced the opening of DSM Desotech Specialty Chemicals (Shanghai)Ltd. (DDSC). The new plant is Desotech's fourth manufacturing facility to date,now producing “Cablelite” fiber optic inks for the Asia-Pacific region. Desotech's other plant locations include: Hoek van Holland, the Netherlands; Stanley, North Carolina, USA; and Tsukuba, Japan. The Tsukuba plant is part of Japan Fine Coatings Co., Ltd-a joint venture between DSM and JSR.
Production equipment, manufacturing processes and quality control measures at DDCS have been carefully engineered to the same stringent standards as those of Desotech's other ink manufacturing facility in Stanley, NC. For this reason,China customers confirm that DDSC-produced Cablelite inks are consistent in both product quality and package appearance as those they have received from Desotech in the past.
In 1999, DSM Desotech established its first local sales office in Shanghai,followed by the opening of both a technical service center and a distribution center in 2003.
