Plans underway for 27th Biennial Western Coatings Symposium & Show/FSCT annual meeting to be held in Las Vegas, 6-9 November 2005

The Western Coatings Societies and FSCT will sponsor the 27th Biennial Western Coatings Societies Symposium & Show (WCS) and FSCT annual meeting on 6-9 November 2005 at the Westin Casuarina Hotel & Spa, in Las Vegas, NV.

Serving as the industry's only forum this fall, the WCS Symposium & Show will bring together professionals representing all areas of the industry. The event will feature informative short courses, educational presentations, and a trade show designed to spotlight the wide variety of products and services available to the coatings and allied industries.

Highlights include:

FSCT Technology Short Courses (Sunday, 6 November)

Incorporating the highest level technical programming, the Technology Short Courses will feature four valuable courses: “Aerospace Coatings”,“Novel, High Performance, and Functional Pigments”, “Global Regulatory Update”, and “Formulation of Waterborne Coatings”. Separate registration is required to attend these courses, and space may be limited.

WCS Symposium (Monday- Wednesday, 7-9 November)

The WCS Symposium offers three concurrent tracks of sessions designed to benefit formulators, managers, and manufacturing personnel. The program theme,“Spirit of Cooperation”, acknowledges the interconnectivity of the coatings and related industries, and explores practical techniques and technologies related to these industries.

Introducing the Symposium will be the prestigious FSCT Mattiello Memorial Lecture, to be presented by Rose Ann Ryntz, Senior Manager and Staff Scientist for Visteon Corp., Dearborn, MI. Additional highlights include the Technical Focus Lecture, Roon Award presentation papers, Discussion Forums, and Poster presentations.

WCS show (Monday-Tuesday, 7-8 November)

Leading suppliers to the industry will showcase their innovative raw materials, testing apparatus, production equipment, and services through tabletop exhibits.
