Johnson Matthey launches a new generation of adhesion promoter

Keywords: Adhesion, Printing industry, Inks

The world's leading manufacturer of organic titanates has successfully launched Vertec™ Jupiter; a new generation of adhesion promoters and is now rolling the product out worldwide.

Vertec Jupiter, developed by Johnson Matthey Catalysts (JMC), has many advantages over existing adhesion promoters available on the market today.

Vertec Jupiter offers unsurpassed stability, adhesion, printing operation and ink performance for flexible packaging. It was designed to generate ink that can be printed faster and more efficiently, whilst maintaining high levels of resistance properties. Vertec Jupiter's optimum performance is achieved at lower addition levels than the current world leading Vertec adhesion promoters.

Joe Polson, Cure Catalysis Manager explains, “Vertec Jupiter was designed in response to the ink industry's demand for improved performance on current adhesion promoters”.

We launched Vertec Jupiter at key trade shows, Flexo UK, FFTA Florida and European Coatings Show, Germany and the interest and response has been tremendous. Within 4 weeks of the product launch, over 100 samples of Vertec Jupiter have been despatched and a commercial sale was achieved, to one of the worlds largest ink manufacturers.

JMC's success to date of their leading Vertec portfolio, is founded on their proactive approach to working closely with every level of the industry, coupled with over 45 years experience in research and product development.
