Hopax's expansion of hydrophilizing agent for water-borne polyurethane (WBPU)is scheduled to be completed by 3Q 2006 to fit the needs of market demand. Foresee the growth strength in the near future; Hopax Fine Chemicals is to build new plant to raise its capacity of WBPU additives by six folds. The new manufacturing facilities are as part of its millions investment in Kaohsiung,Taiwan. Hopax positions itself as made- to-order supplier of WBPU additives. Hopax witnesses the growth of WBPU from 2002 to 2005, usage of water- borne polyurethane in Great China area grew at a compounded annual rate of 18 percent per year.
