Trimite Global Coatings gains SC21 award

Birmingham, Runcorn and Uxbridge, 19 March 2013. Trimite Technologies Ltd has received the 21st Century Supply Chain (SC21) award. SC21 is a supply chain transformation programme designed to accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace and defence industry in the UK.
A pre-requisite to dealing with the aerospace and defence industry in the UK nowadays is excellence in supply chain management.
Trimite Technologies Ltd, which is part of Trimite Global Coatings, manufactures pre-treatment products for several markets from its site in Hockley Birmingham was awarded the prestigious SC21 bronze award in recognition of its efforts to develop world-class supply chain management.
Trimite Global Coating’s also has a Liquid & Powder Coatings Division in Uxbridge and a Liquid Coatings Division in Runcorn.

SC21 companies are committed to achieving common industry development and performance plans derived from a common diagnostic framework. These companies also commit to working with suppliers in order to implement common, shared improvement plans.
NanoKTN Event Helps UK-based The Electrospinning Company to deliver improved solutions for pharmaceutical and drug delivery research markets
The NanoKTN (www.nanoktn.com,one of the UK’s primary knowledge-based networks for micro and nanotechnologies, is pleased to announce that following an introduction at the NanoKTN’s first nanofibres to nanocomposites event in 2011, The Electrospinning Company has been able to improve its measurement of electrospun nanofibres to be able to access new markets such as the pharmaceutical and drug discovery research markets.
The Electrospinning Company Limited, a spin out from the UK’s Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), designs and manufactures electrospun nanofibre scaffolds that support the growth of cells in 3D. Uniquely in Europe,the company designs and manufactures high quality products from biocompatible polymers for use in regenerative medicine, stem cell therapeutics, and drug discovery.
The Electrospinning Company attended the NanoKTN’s Nanofibres to Nanocomposites event to present and promote the company’s technology and services, and met with Phenom-World who was presenting on new possibilities for automated analyses of nanofibers, and showcasing the company’s electron microscope and fibermetric application.

By attending the event, we were able to meet Phenom-World who impressed us with their fibermetric application and its ability to measure very accurately the nanofibre diameter, enabling us to produce highly consistent materials for our clients.”
