Dunlap, PhD, is an associate professor of instructional design and technology at the University of Colorado Denver, where she coordinates an online MA program in eLearning design and implementation and is a faculty fellow for faculty development. Joni’s scholarly work has revolved around faculty development and professional learning; the preparation of design professionals; and postsecondary education.
Lisa A. Giacumo, PhD, is an assistant professor of organizational performance and workplace learning at Boise State University. Her research focuses on using instructional design and digital tools to support learners part of marginalized populations, global training initiatives, and organizational performance improvement initiatives
Krista Greear, MET, is an enthusiastic, data-driven individual, passionate about inclusivity. With 10 years of experience in higher education accessibility, Krista’s focus is to accelerate the educational landscape regarding digital content, with particular expertise in document and video accessibility. She is excited about improving the educational experience for all students by working with administrators, faculty, and students.
Michael Humphrey, EdD, is an associate professor in the Early and Special Education Department at Boise State University. His research focuses on building teacher-efficacy in inclusive classrooms, preparing teachers to work with culturally and linguistically diverse populations, and improving teacher retention.
Mohsen Keshavarz has a PhD in virtual education planning. Currently, Dr. Keshavarz is the director of the Medical Education Development Department of Torbat Heydariyeh University of Medical Sciences from 2013. He is trying to apply innovations of distance learning in a medical education context and use international experiences in the field of virtual education at the national level. His research interests include online learning, blended learning, virtual education, educational technologies, quality assurance and multiple literacies in online environments. He has published several articles on multiple literacies in virtual education at the Distance Learning Journal (An official publication of the United States Distance Learning Association) between 2015–2016.
Alison Lowenthal, MA, is the transition coordinator at the Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation where she develops and manages statewide preemployment transition services for students with disabilities to help them learn the skills that will lead to increased postsecondary success.
Patrick R. Lowenthal, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Educational Technology at Boise State University. He specializes in designing and developing online learning environments. His research focuses on how people communicate using emerging technologies—with a focus on presence, identity, and community.
Lisa Rodman is a training manager for the U.S. Coast Guard’s Force Readiness Command in Washington, DC. She coordinates and applies strategic analyses to the development of performance, training, and education plans for personnel and mission support. She earned a doctorate of education in educational technology from Boise State University.
Jesús Trespalacios is an associate professor in the Department of Educational Technology at Boise State University. He teaches online graduate courses on instructional design and educational research. His scholarly activity includes instructional design education, communities in online environments and doctoral advising for research purposes.
Brett E. Shelton uses a variety of mixed-method research approaches to study vision, perception, cognition, and the design and assessment of innovative technologies for learning. Other interests include immersive and interactive learning environments, data visualizations, open education, instructional simulations and educational gaming. He is a professor of educational technology in the College of Education, with a joint appointment in the College of Innovation + Design, and is codirector of the Boise State Varsity eSports Program.
Lynne Kimmey Zajac is a faculty member for graduate nursing studies and past director for the doctor of nursing practice program, a fully online program at Northern Kentucky University. Currently, Dr. Zajac teaches online doctoral courses and advises for DNP scholarly projects. She has 30 years of experience in nursing education at all degree levels and has been teaching online since 2015. In addition to teaching, her experience in online education includes curriculum development and evaluation, and faculty development. She holds a PhD in nursing education from the University of Northern Colorado which was an online program, a master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University, and a BS with a concentration in nursing from Albright College. Her areas of expertise, interest, and research studies include adult health, nursing education, online education, diversity in nursing education, and leadership.
