“This event offers a rare opportunity for academics and other professionals from around the world to share their broad array of perspectives. The conference theme is “Staying Agile, Maintaining Balance: Solutions from a Sea of Technology.” Professionals involved in “administrative services, information resources, teaching and learning, technology infrastructure, or management within higher education will find opportunities to learn, share, and connect with others in the field. At the center of the conference are practical how-to sessions that offer valuable, region-specific information and ideas to help manage and lead IT. “This year’s theme is "Building the IT Community of the Future.” Professionals involved with “administrative services, information resources, teaching and learning, technology infrastructure, or management within higher education will find opportunities to learn, share, and connect with others in the field. At the center of the conference are practical "how to" sessions that offer valuable, region-specific information and ideas to help you manage and lead IT. The theme of the conference is “Lightning in Paradise: WEMA and Brainstorm Conference.” This conference provides opportunities to network with educational media professionals, policy makers, and vendors. Keynote sessions, group discussions and other events are planned.

IEEE PerCom 2006 will be the fourth annual conference on the emerging area of pervasive computing and communications aimed at providing an exciting platform and paradigm for all the time, everywhere services. This emergence is a natural outcome of the tremendous advances in wireless networks, mobile computing, sensor networks, distributed computing, and agent technologies. PerCom 2006 will provide a high profile, leading edge forum for researchers and engineers alike to present their latest research in the field of pervasive computing and communications. PerCom 2006 will feature a work in progress session in order to present and discuss merging results, and novel research questions, approaches, and directions.

“Just as technology changes and improves, so does FETC. To help keep you on top of educational technology advances and professional development requirements, a few tweaks have been made to the schedule and updates to the program of 200+ presentations. New for 2006 are updated session topics. The sessions for FETC 2006 will address Learners, Learning Environments, Professional Competency, System Capacity, Community Connections, Technology Capacity, and Accountability.
