Ray J. Amirault is assistant professor of instructional technology at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Ray received his PhD and MS in instructional systems from Florida State University in Tallahassee and his BA in computer science from The University of West Florida in Pensacola. He has authored and coauthored a variety of works examining the technology's impact on the university, published in Cambridge University Press, The Journal of Computing in Higher Education, ETR&D, Information Age Publishing, and others. Ray was an editor for both editions of Trends and Issues in Distance Learning: International Perspectives. Ray is a Chicago native.

Clemens Averbeck is a German native with a strong background in Culinaru arts. Clemens served as assistant professor at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, and introduced the first blended learning course ever taught at the institute. As a key advisor in matters of technology-based instructional delivery, he acted as liaison between the faculty, the IT Department and Administration. Clemens graduated in 2012 from The George Washington University's Graduate School of Education and Human Development with an MA in educational technology leadership.

Gamin Bartle is the director of instructional technology services at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. Gamin holds a PhD from the University of Virginia, as well as a graduate certificate in training and educational technology in the educational technology leadership program at George Washington University that she recently completed in December 2012.

Bertha Leticia Gonzalez Becerra is a research professor at the Centro Universitario de la Costa Sur of the University de Guadalajara. She holds a bachelor's in mathematics and a master's degree in computational sciences. Bertha is pursuing a doctorate in instructional technology and distance education at Nova Southeastern University in the United States. In her professional capacity she is in charge of training of online instructors in the Department of Engineering. She oversees the laboratory for math education. Furthermore, she designs eLearning courses for science education, and serves as an advisor for the implementation and evaluation of media for teaching mathematics.

Virginie Cassidy holds a PhD in French studies from the University of Maryland. She is currently an assistant professor of French at Georgetown College, KY. Interested in language learning and teaching, Virginie collaborated on several editions of the Student Activity Manual for the French college textbooks Chez Nous and Points de départ. Viginie is currently completing a master's degree in educational technology leadership at The George Washington University.

Bruce G. Campbell is pursuing his EdD in instructional technology and distance education at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, United States. Bruce also holds a MBA from Nova Southeastern University. Prior to his work in higher education, Bruce enjoyed a successful career as a consultant for an executive search firm and recruited vice presidents of land development, architecture, and engineering throughout the United States. Upon earning his MBA, he worked for a Chicagobased consulting firm as a senior business analyst. Bruce is assistant director for NSU's Student Educational Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Daniel Corona José Flores is a research professor at the Universidad Autonoma Agraria Antonio Narro, Coahuila, Mexico in the Planning and Evaluation Unit. Daniel is an industrial engineer. Daniel has also served as a researcher at the Electrical Research Institute in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. Daniel received his masters of information science from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, through a grant from the National Council for Science and Technology. He is currently a doctoral student in instructional technology and distance education at Nova Southeastern University.

J. Clark Gardner is a senior instructional designer at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. He has a master's degree in educational technology leadership from The George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Utah.

Ruqaya Hamidaddin graduated in summer 2012 from The George Washington University's Graduate School of Education and Human Development with an MA in educational technology leadership. Ruqaya is a university lecturer. She is concerned with the importance of integrating technology into educational systems by choosing the appropriate technology tools, methods, and learning environments which lead to more effective and efficient learning experiences. She wishes to continue to leverage her experience in knowledge improvement, learning, and growth through education and technology.

Nathan Hawk is currently pursuing a MA degree at the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at The George Washington University, expecting to graduate in May 2013. Nathan earned a BA degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, where he focused on mathematics, secondary education, and Spanish. Nathan currently teaches at a community (charter) high school in Ohio that offers both correspondence and online distance education programs.

Stephen Reiach is the director of technology at the American School of Milan in northern Italy. Stephen holds a bachelor's in computer science from the Florida Institute of Technology, and is currently pursuing a master's in educational technology leadership at The George Washington University. Originally from the Bahamas, Stephen has worked in several International schools in the past years.

Martha Renee Romine recently received a graduate certificate from The George Washington University in the education and leadership program. Martha holds a bachelor of arts degree from Kent State University in Communications. She has been on the staff at Kent State University for over 25 years. As senior training and development specialist, she provides a blend of training solutions for faculty and staff across eight campuses. Martha is a retired Reserve Army captain and has been a co-owner of Diversity Talk Consulting since 2009.

Manuel Rosales Pius Almendra is a research professor at the Centro Universitario de la Costa Sur, University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Manuel also serves as an online instructor and advisor in the Virtual University System for the institution. Previously, Manual served as director for computing and telecommunications, coordinator tor learning technologies, and head of distance education the Centro Universitario de la Costa Sur. Manuel holds an EdD in instructional technology and distance education from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He also holds a master's degree in statistics, specializing in experimental statistics, and a second master's in learning technologies.

Lisa Powers is a graduate student at The George Washington University's Graduate School of Education and Human Development and is expected to graduate in 2013 with a MA in educational technology leadership. Lisa has an extensive background in project management and has been leading various strategic technology initiatives for a major financial services institution in the United States. Lisa plans to continue to leverage her project management experience and focus on implementing new technology solutions in an educational capacity.

Rosita Ulate Sanchez is completing her doctoral dissertation in instructional technology and distance education at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She holds an MBA with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Costa Rica. For over a decade, Rosita has worked at the Universidad Estatal a Distancia (State University of Distance Education) in Costa Rica. She has been a professor of management and research, has served as academic advisor, and was in charge of the Department of Finance (College of Management). Currently, Rosita is chair of research at the institution's School of Natural Sciences.

André Warner is the director of user support for Harrisburg Area Community College. He has an extensive background in educational technology and has been involved in various cutting edge technologies for over 25 years. In addition to the educational field, André has worked in legal, state government, and healthcare fields. André recently earned an MA in educational technology leadership from The George Washington University's Graduate School of Education and Human Development.

Sue Way holds a BS in marketing management from Virginia Tech and an MEd from The George Washington University. In 2013, Sue will complete a second master's in educational technology leadership, also from GWU. Education is a second career for Sue: previously, she worked as a commercial insurance investigator and medical paralegal before becoming a math teacher. She is now the district instructional technology resource teacher for Buena Vista City Public Schools in Virginia. Sue has a passion for jewelry design and has won awards for her work in wearable sculpture.

Clayton Williams is a graduate student in the Educational Technology Leadership program at The George Washington University. After completing a BA in sociology at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, he studied Elementary Education at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. He currently works with at-risk middle school students in a nonprofit residential children's home in northeastern Oklahoma.

Lya Visser is a part-time professor in the educational technology leadership program of The George Washington University and director of performance improvement at the Learning Development Institute (France and the United States.) Lya holds a PhD in educational science and technology from the University of Twente (The Netherlands). She is also an enthusiastic sculptor.

Yusra Laila Visser has over 15 years' experience in distance education, instructional design, and strategic planning. She is an adjunct professor in instructional technology at Nova Southeastern University and Florida Atlantic University. She served as project manager for a major distance learning initiative at Florida State University's, and as program associate for International Programs at Education Development Center. As consultant Yusra has served clients including The World Bank, Verizon, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Yusra holds a PhD in instructional systems from Florida State University. She has a deep appreciation for art and is a committed amateur photographer.
