Tianyuan Yu, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Business and Tourism, Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Canada. She received the PhD degree in Management from Sun Yat-Sen University, China and has been doing her second PhD degree in Management from Sobey School of Business, Saint Mary’s University since 2015. Her research interests include cross-cultural management, management and organization history, Chinese philosophy and religions, and diversity and gender study. She is particularly interested in conducting multi-paradigm research in cross-cultural studies, informed by Chinese history and philosophy. Her recent publications appear in a number of international journals and conference proceedings.

Albert J. Mills, PhD, is Professor at the Sobey School of Business, Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada. Niya Peng, PhD, is Assistant Researcher in Institute for Educational Development and Reform, National Institute of Education Sciences, Beijing, China. She received the PhD degree in Applied Economics from Hunan University, China and she visited Saint Mary’s University, Halifax as a visiting scholar from 2009 to 2011. Her research is in the areas of gender equality and education economic policy, education funds input and efficiency. She is the co-author of “Feminist thinking in late seventh-century China” (2015) and has authored more than ten papers in Chinese journals.
