Daniel Gulanowski holds Honors Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and an MBA degree from Ryerson University, and is currently a PhD Candidate at Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business. Before joining the doctoral program, he was Commercial Banking Manager at the National Bank of Canada. His research interests include international business expansion, strategic management, cross-cultural human resource management issues, computer mediated communication and social support and national culture, and his publications in these areas include conference papers, book chapters, and articles in the International Journal of Intercultural Relations, The SAGE Encyclopedia of Intercultural Competence, Rediscovering the Essentiality of Marketing and Communicating Brands in an Increasingly Complex and Global Environment.

Dr Nicolas Papadopoulos is Chancellor’s Professor of Marketing and International Business at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, where he has served, among others, as Associate Dean (Research) and Director of the Sprott School of Business. His research focuses on international strategy and buyer responses to it and he has 15 books and over 400 other publications and presentations, including articles in International Business Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Marketing, and Journal of Business Research. He serves on two Senior Advisory and seven Editorial Review journal boards, and his work has been recognized through numerous distinctions including the 2016 Hans B. Thorelli Award for Long-Term Impact of the American Marketing Association.

Llynne Plante is Regional Director at the Industrial Research Assistance Program of Canada’s National Research Council (NRC), following a career as Chief of Strategic Policy at the Office of Small and Medium Enterprise at Public Works Canada, Marketing Manager at Export Development Canada, and other positions in technology transfer, international business and R&D project management in high-technology firms and with the NRC. She holds several diplomas, post-graduate certifications and an MBA from Queen’s University, and is currently a PhD Candidate at Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business with research interests and publications in international business, entrepreneurship and change management.
