Purpose

Indian tribal painting represents a renowned cultural tradition. Integrating tribal art into clothing has captivated customer interest, adding heritage and tradition. This study aims to explore consumer opinions on Indian clothing styles adorned with tribal paintings, focusing specifically on preferences related to these unique designs.

Design/methodology/approach

This research used a systematic approach to data collection, with statistical analysis to identify trends and correlations related to consumer preferences for clothing featuring tribal art across various demographics.

Findings

This study found significant variation in garment style preferences based on the integration of tribal paintings. Academics and fashion designers favored classic styles with tribal motifs, while business professionals and students preferred modern looks that incorporated tribal designs. Age-influenced style choices, with younger groups favoring contemporary garments featuring tribal art and older groups preferring classic styles.

Originality/value

The findings offer insights into the market demand for clothing by incorporating tribal paintings and provide valuable guidance for fashion brands looking to integrate such designs into their collections, without the influence of broader fashion trends or media.
