Who’s Who in Early Medieval England

This volume contains over 160 short biographies of prominent personalities of the period 1066‐1272, from the Norman Conquest to the accession of Edward I. It is part of a series, Who’s Who in British History which will, when all eight volumes have been published, cover the period 55BC to 1901. The biographies are based on the latest secondary sources and are quite extensive. The volume has a short introduction which provides some cultural, social, economic and constitutional background to the period.
