This guide contains the address, phone number and distances for over 4,300 trails in the Western USA, together with the indexing of over 200 guide books. The author, Steve Rajtar, has already completed a guide to trails in the eastern USA. He makes it quite clear from the onset that he has not exhaustively listed every trail and park in existence because changes are constantly occurring. However, he drew on over 250 sources to complete the listings found within this guide and so must have produced one of the most comprehensive records around. The cut‐off date is 1995.
