International Children’s Digital Library

According to its Web site, the International Children’s Digital Library (ICDL) “is a five‐year research project to develop innovative software and a collection of books that specifically address the needs of children as readers”. This project has brought together people from fields as varied as computer science, education, and psychology. At present, the library includes works from 27 different cultures in as many as 15 languages.
