American Presidents: Year by Year

This three‐volume set has an unusual format in that it has what the author describes as a “vertical perspective”. It is divided into sections for the current president, former presidents and future presidents and chronicles what was happening to them month‐by‐month, year‐by‐year. It ranges from the birth of George Washington in 1732, almost 60 years before he was to become the first president of the USA, to Bill Clinton in 2000. Additionally there are brief details for George W. Bush and the period up until July 2003.
