Leslie Morton died in 2004 at the age of 97, after having sent the completed text of this book to the publisher. There will be many memorials to this outstanding bibliographer, and I would have liked to submit one more. This volume is really the culmination of a lifetime of toil devoted to furthering the understanding of the organization of medical literature.
